CAPELLA LODGE

Refreshingly off the radar, Capella Lodge is Lord Howe Island’s much-loved luxury retreat.

Set at the foot of the towering Mounts Gower and Lidgbird, Capella welcomes spectacular views of the ocean, subtropical reef and mountains. Contemporary design channels the carefree spirit of the Australian beach house and a feeling of relaxed sophistication flows throughout.

Nine island-style guest suites offer a relaxed, barefoot luxury vibe and feature stylishly appointed king Baillie Beds, custom furnishings and island-themed artworks, while a well-stocked in-suite bar offers a range of gourmet treats. Private decks with lounging areas – and many with plunge spas, take in views of the pristine natural environment.

Refined dining is a Capella hallmark and the innovative menu showcases a bounty of fresh island and regional produce, while recreations span rainforest walks and explorations of the world’s southernmost coral reef. With the lodge as one’s own basecamp, Capella brings a luxury castaway escape to life.
